Bluetooth – Wave of the Future

Posted by M J on 31st August 2009

Many states are now making it illegal to drive while using a cell phone unless operated hands free. So if you still plan on using your cell phone while driving, you basically have two options (unless your car is bluetooth enabled). You can either get a wired headset, or a wireless bluetooth headset. Each type has its own distinct advantages, but in this buying guide only bluetooth headsets will be discussed.

Bluetooth headsets have become very popular because they allow you to connect to your phone via a continous wireless connection, therefore preventing you from getting tangled up in wires. Some bluetooth headsets let you stay connected to your phone from up to 30 ft away or more. This means you can go about your work in a room or office without having to take your phone along with you.

The benefits of bluetooth headsets are somewhat obvious, but you may find yourself disappointed if you buy a model that isn’t exactly what you had imagined. Below, you’ll find a list of things that our product specialists recommend our customers to consider before buying a bluetooth headset.

Some Bluetooth models are available in stereo, which you might consider a plus if you listen to music on your cell. But this luxury comes with a price, and yes they’re expensive. Bluetooth Headsets are truly hands-free and thus comply with the new state laws that require drivers to use hands-free communications while driving. Moreover there are no wires to get tangled up in. Bluetooth technology is now used by most major headset manufacturers and are becoming very popular because they are some of the best headsets that you can buy.

Comfort: A headset with great features that isn’t comfortable won’t do you much, because you’ll never want to wear it. The comfort level of a particular headset is more a matter of personal preference; but having an idea of the type of design you want can definitely help. There are over-the-ear designs, in-ear designs, and other speciality designs from which you can choose from. Some of these models even come with ear gels in an attempt to increase the level comfort you experience. The most important thing is to make sure that the headset is lightweight and is capable of being attached to your head (or ear) securely, so it doesn’t fall off every time you move.

Make sure your cell phone is bluetooth enabled. Bluetooth must be turned on in order to “pair” the headset to your phone for a continuous connection. See the headset’s and your phone’s manual for instructions on how to “pair” the devices.

When considering the battery life of the headset, focus a little more upon the talk time life rather than the idle time. Having a headset that lasts long while idling is great, but if it runs out after 20 minutes of use there’s really no point.

Bluetake is lightweight and have a comfortable fit. The volume is loud enough but the audio isn’t the best. It is somewhat static because of its tiny buttons. It somehow resembles the ones in the sci-fi movies of the late 1960s. With its changeable faceplates and foldaway boom, it definitely adds a plus factor to its design. Bluetake makes up about 4 hours of actual talk time and about 4.2 days of standby time.

Thanks to Anuj’s site, which lets people find a cheap bluetooth headset, people can more easily get a bluetooth device.

Bluetooth headsets are being tailored to fit your most fashionable needs. They are small, elegant headsets that usually weigh in at only 7.9 grams. These headsets truly are a state-of-the-art technological advancement and this technology is just out there waiting for you! Bluetooth headsets are the hands-free solution to communicating with friends and family while driving. With such a large and growing market it should be easy to find a bluetooth headset that will accommodate everyones needs and wants.

Some wireless headsets have a range of 100 metres (300 feet). Bluetooth headsets are only good for a range of about 1 meter (30 feet). So if you need to move a reasonable distance from your desk or away from your mobile phone you will need to have a wireless headset rather than a bluetooth.

Bluetooth headsets offer a convenient and user-friendly wireless connection. This is with the use of a Bluetooth-enabled cell phone. With its 30 feet range (10 meters) capacity, cell phones can talk with other headsets using this technology. Aside from this, PCs can talk to keyboards or printers as well. Thus, talking with each other, without the need for wires can make up about seven connections at a single time. This is even with a speed of 1 Mbps.
